2015 World Netball Championships Sydney

This milestone event occurs every four years and features the top 16 teams from around the globe. The last World Championship held in Australia was in 1991, also in Sydney, when coach Joyce Brown led her Diamonds team to a world title, defeating New Zealand 53-52 in a thrilling grand final.

Acer Arena, the Sydney Olympic Park venue that will host the championship, holds the world record netball crowd of 14,339 for an Australia vs New Zealand test match in November 2004.
